History of CityServe Kansas City
In February 2022, Brian Hughes, the founder and executive director of the Kansas City Dream Center, was introduced to CityServe International in preparation for a big outreach event in the Kansas City metro area called The Send. The heart and vision for CityServe KC began. In the week leading up to The Send (Flood Week), multiple churches, nonprofits, and volunteers got together to share the Gospel and bless our city. CityServe had 11 truckloads of donations brought to a warehouse, sorted and delivered to 12 locations with 1,523 volunteer hours. CityServe oversaw 298 outreach locations/events with over 7,500 people served and over 5,000 bibles distributed. Through all these outreach events, there were 504 salvations. In September 2022 CityServe KC was legally formed by Brian Hughes, the president and founder.
