Brian's passion for making a difference has developed over the last 20 years. Still, he wants to see true transformation in people's lives. He wants to help fix some of the true problems of homelessness and help eliminate food insecurity. He wants to empower others to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and transform lives. We are all better together and need to be more intentional about seeking, helping, and witnessing to the lost, the broken, the widow, the orphan, the poor, the vulnerable and the exploited.

After 25 years in corporate transportation, Brian changed careers to do what has been on his heart for many years: to help others. Brian has been married to his wife, Shelly, for 26 years, and they have one son. A fun fact about Brian is that he loves learning about other cultures, people, and languages and is proficient in Spanish and conversational in Arabic.

Evan Bass is our HUB Director and oversees the day to Operations of CityServe KC. On November 19, 2022, prompted by the Holy Spirit, Evan, accompanied by his wife and son, moved from Los Angeles to Kansas City.

Before becoming part of CityServe KC, Evan spent five years on staff at the LA Dream center, where his heart to serve blossomed. With a heart changed by all that he had seen and experienced in LA, he knew that upon arriving in Kansas City, he wanted to continue to serve the local community and partner with the body of Christ to transform lives.

In December 2022, Evan officially joined the CityServe KC family and was fired up to engage and empower our partners!
